Because fundamentals are used in a speculative way, versus reading what stocks are actually doing. If you see a stock at the beginning of an upward (or downward) momentum trend that’s what it’s actually doing.
Fundas can help one select a good stock, but reading technicals (momentum) can enhance the opportunity. Doesn’t that sound like a great combination?

They Preach "Buy and Hold", and then turn around and Trade against us, like Goldman Sacs
If you Trade on Fundamentals only you get "Whip-Sawed" by big Volatility, not your fathers 1950′s volatility, but big swings, manipulated criminal swings.

Because they are making money. Stocks aren’t bound by their past performance, but often time market participants’ views are affected by the past performance of a stock, its called reflexivity, while not the most used theory, it can explain what happens in the market much better than the theory of equilibrium can.
Although a lot of investors still do no understand the market at all, some do.
